Jonathan Caron Construction is pleased to offer custom treehouses. Not only play structures for kids, but true houses built into trees. We have teamed up with the leading expert in treehouse engineering, Charles Greenwood, in order to build beautiful, safe and long-lasting residences.
Charles Greenwood has specialized in treehouse-specific engineering analysis and support systems for twenty years. Thousands of tree connections and related ground supports have been completed for projects including modest backyard builds, treehouse resorts and a number of public use wheelchair accessible installations. He has pioneered the application of Finite Element Analysis to the flexible connections and support structures, and was instrumental in the development of a range of attachment techniques to suit the many different tree sizes and species used worldwide in treehouse construction.
His primary residence for the last eight years is a treehouse, as seen in the photos below.
In addition to Charles’s expertise in connection design, professional structural engineer Ted O’Donnell brings his 25 years of design and engineering experience in the wood truss industry to the team. Ted’s role is to design the “foundation” of each treehouse to ensure each home is built to industry standards and local code.
If you are considering a custom treehouse for your children, for an art studio, home office, guest suite or simply a home-away-from-home, please contact Jonathan Caron Construction today. We will visit your site and advise you on the best way to move forward with design and construction.
